Without wagons there is no rail freight, yet it is a part of our industry which is often overlooked. In recent years there has been significant investment in new wagons and there is potential for more as the market grows. Yet this success story is often hidden to policy makers and the wider industry. At the same time there are challenges facing the sector from a changing regulatory framework, the take up of innovation and technology and changes in railway structure.
The Private Wagon Federation (PWF) and RFG are therefore working together to host their first wagon forum, providing an opportunity to discuss the key challenges and opportunities, identify areas for collaboration and look at how the wagon sector can better promote its success.
The event will take place on Tues 29 October, venue TBA, but expected to be in the Derby area.
Further details will be released after the summer, but to reserve your place please email firstname.lastname@example.org . Places will be offered on a first come first served basis, and given the limited number of places will be restricted to two delegates per member in the first instance.
