Belgium still resists opening up driver training
Private operator DLC and ERFA presented a joint paper in July to the Belgium Government arguing that indepedent train operators should be free to operate their own driver training schemes ,subjecto independent approval, rather than being required to use the training facilities of their competitor, B Cargo. 20 July 2007

Rail Liberalisation
ERFA (European Rail Freight Association), ERFCP (European Rail Freight Customers Platform), F&L (European Freight and Logistics Leaders Forum) and UIP (International Union of Private Wagons) have signed a ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ (MoU) to jointly work towards full market liberalisation, the emerging of competing rail operators and open access to all rail facilities in Europe.
